Phlebotomist

About the Role

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in San Diego, CA.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 am – 3:30 pm; Rotating Saturdays may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements & Tech Stack

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License
• In lieu of state license, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet requirement.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to attend 2-week training in California

Qualifications

• 1 or more months of experience as a phlebotomist
• Current or prior experience with Labcorp

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay Range: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
• Quarterly Incentive Bonus Program may be available
