Junior Engineer, IT

About the Role

Flex is seeking a Junior Engineer - IT in Sriperumbudur to support, maintain, and enhance ERP applications that facilitate manufacturing, supply chain, planning, procurement, inventory, and finance operations. This role involves close collaboration with various business and IT teams to ensure smooth ERP operations and continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• ERP Application Support
• Provide day-to-day support for ERP users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve applications, transaction, and master data issues.
• Monitor ERP interfaces and system integrations.
• Support incident, problem, and change management activities.
• Business Process Support
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
• Support Manufacturing, Procurement, Inventory, Planning, Logistics, and Finance processes within ERP.
• Assist users in process improvement and system optimization initiatives.
• Ensure data accuracy and process compliance.
• Development & Enhancements
• Support ERP customizations, reports, forms, and interfaces.
• Perform functional testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Assist in ERP upgrades, patches, and new feature implementations.
• Validate system changes before production deployment.
• Data Management
• Support master data maintenance and validation.
• Generate operational and management reports.
• Assist with data migration and data correction activities.
• Ensure data integrity across integrated systems.
• Documentation & Compliance
• Prepare and maintain functional specifications, SOPs, and user guides.
• Support audit, SOX, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain proper change management documentation.
• User Training & Coordination
• Provide user training and knowledge transfer.
• Coordinate with business teams, developers, and external vendors.
• Participate in project meetings and implementation activities.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience with ERP / Infor LN.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Experience with SQL query and database fundamentals.
• Knowledge of ERP integrations and interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Business Systems, or related field.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in ERP support, business systems, or manufacturing IT environments.
• Understanding of production planning, procurement, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Experience in report development and data analysis.
• Basic understanding of ERP concepts and business processes.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Inventory, or Finance operations.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
• Flexible to work in shifts.
