About the Role
The Social Media Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Chennai Area. This role involves creating visually engaging content for social media platforms that reflects the school’s brand identity and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing graphics and layouts for posts, stories, and digital campaigns.
- Adapting designs for different platforms (such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Maintaining consistency in visual branding.
- Collaborating with the communications and marketing teams to develop content calendars, refine messaging, and align visuals with ongoing school events and initiatives.
- Staying updated with design and social media trends.
- Optimizing content for engagement.
- Preparing assets that can be repurposed for the website, newsletters, and other digital channels.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, or similar software) is highly beneficial.
- Skills in Graphics and Graphic Design, including creating visual content suited for social media and digital platforms.
- Skills in Typography and layout design to produce clear, readable, and aesthetically balanced visuals.
- Experience designing content for social media, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced school environment are preferred.
- A diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia, or a related field, along with a strong portfolio of social media design work, is desirable.
