Qa Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with 0.5 to 3 years of experience in manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of software testing methodologies, test case design, defect tracking, and basic automation testing. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and system testing.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
• Perform web application and mobile application testing.
• Develop and maintain basic automated test scripts using Selenium.
• Conduct API testing using Postman.
• Collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve reported issues.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing.
• Maintain test documentation and report testing progress and results.
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement discussions, and QA sign-off activities.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• 0.5 to 3 years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
• Good understanding of manual testing concepts and software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Knowledge of test case design, test execution, and defect life cycle.
• Basic hands-on experience with Selenium and automation testing.
• Familiarity with API testing using Postman.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
• Understanding of web applications, client-server architecture, and basic database concepts.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and browser developer tools is preferred.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to mobile application testing on Android and/or iOS.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of programming concepts in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools and automation frameworks is an advantage.
