About the Role
This full-time remote Video Editor role focuses on shaping raw footage from weddings and events into cohesive, compelling stories.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing and organizing footage
- Editing video sequences
- Syncing audio
- Applying transitions and effects to meet project briefs and brand guidelines
- Performing color correction and grading
- Incorporating motion graphics and titles
- Preparing files for delivery across various platforms
- Collaborating with producers and other team members to refine creative concepts
- Maintaining consistent quality standards
- Meeting deadlines for multiple concurrent projects
- Working independently, managing own schedule within agreed timelines, and communicating proactively with the team
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve)
Qualifications
- Strong skills in video editing and video production, including organizing footage and building narrative sequences
- Skills in video color grading, color correction, and visual consistency across multiple clips
- Skills in motion graphics and graphics, including titles, lower thirds, and simple animated elements
- Strong storytelling ability, attention to detail, and a good sense of pacing and music selection
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Experience editing wedding or event videos and a portfolio showcasing relevant work is highly beneficial.
- A degree or certification in film, media production, or a related field is a plus but not required.
