SQL Backend Engineer

About the Role

Saatvik Agro is seeking an SQL Backend Engineer for a full-time, on-site opportunity in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, India. This role is suitable for fresh graduates and technology professionals interested in backend development, SQL databases, database engineering, API development, data-driven applications, software engineering, system integration, cloud technologies, automation, and enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve backend applications, APIs, relational databases, data-access layers, internal platforms, automation solutions, enterprise systems, and digital services.
• Collaborate closely with software, IT, data, analytics, operations, production, supply chain, finance, sales, and other business teams.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• SQL and relational database concepts.
• SELECT statements, joins, subqueries, aggregations, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, transactions, indexes, constraints, and query optimization.
• Database design, normalization, primary and foreign keys, referential integrity, schemas, data models, relationships, and CRUD operations.
• Backend programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript/Node.js, C#, PHP, Go).
• REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, web services, authentication, authorization, API integration, and system integration.
• Git, version control, branching, pull requests, code reviews, debugging, and collaborative software-development workflows.
• Good analytical, logical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, documentation, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to understand and translate business and technical requirements into practical, reliable, scalable, maintainable, and secure backend and database solutions.
• Willingness to work in an on-site environment.
• Strong willingness to learn new backend technologies, databases, APIs, cloud platforms, testing tools, database-design practices, and modern software-engineering concepts.

Familiarity or exposure to the following will be beneficial:

• Database performance tuning, execution plans, indexing strategies, connection management, transaction handling.

• Linux, command-line tools, application deployment, environment configuration, logging, monitoring, production-support concepts.
• Microservices, distributed applications, Kafka, RabbitMQ, caching, message queues, asynchronous processing, event-driven systems.
• Authentication, authorization, role-based access control, secure database access, encryption, input validation, API security, backup, recovery, data-protection concepts.

Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / BCA / MCA / M.Sc. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
