AI Software Engineer

About the Role

The AI Software Engineer - 1 role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining AI-powered software components that improve brand eligibility and representation in AI-driven discovery systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize models, especially in areas such as pattern recognition, neural networks, and natural language processing.
• Integrate models into production-grade software.
• Write clean, scalable code.
• Contribute to system architecture.
• Conduct experiments and evaluate model performance.
• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Debug complex issues in AI pipelines.
• Improve system reliability.
• Contribute to documentation and code reviews.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and production-quality coding practices.
• Skills in Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks for building and optimizing machine learning and deep learning models.
• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) for understanding, extracting, and transforming text data in AI-driven applications.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in AI (such as Python) and familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team, communicate clearly, and take ownership of end-to-end technical tasks.
• Experience with deploying models to production, working with APIs, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) is beneficial.
• Previous exposure to e-commerce, recommender systems, or agentic/AI-native products is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
