About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Java / Spring Boot Intern to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of backend applications, APIs, and scalable software systems. You will work alongside experienced engineers and gain hands-on exposure to backend development, database integration, API development, debugging, and software engineering best practices. This opportunity is ideal for students and recent graduates who want to strengthen their Java development skills and gain practical experience building real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java.
• Assist in building RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
• Work with relational databases and perform basic database operations.
• Support API integration and backend service development.
• Write clean, readable, and maintainable code.
• Debug issues, test functionality, and improve application performance.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and other engineering team members.
• Use Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and documentation.
• Learn and follow established software development practices.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic knowledge of Java programming and object-oriented programming (OOP).
• Understanding of core Java concepts, including classes, objects, inheritance, and exception handling.
• Basic understanding of Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Git and GitHub.
• Understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn, experiment, and work collaboratively.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Education

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
