Software Engineer

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Software Engineer role based in the Greater Chennai Area. The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that support MH Cognition’s products and services, with a focus on robust, scalable, and secure systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Writing clean, efficient code.
• Participating in code reviews.
• Debugging and resolving technical issues.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product, design, and QA.
• Contributing to backend web services.
• Improving system architecture.
• Implementing best practices in software development and deployment.
• Staying current with emerging technologies.
• Supporting continuous improvement in development processes and tools.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture concepts.
• Skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar).
• Skills in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and server-side frameworks.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Beneficial skills include familiarity with version control (e.g., Git), testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and basic cloud concepts (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Capacity to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in learning and adapting to new technologies.
