Software Engineer

About the Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Enterprise Risk, Audit, Finance, and Testing Technology team. This role involves building enterprise software solutions that enable employees to manage critical risk management functions. You will contribute to the design, development, deployment, and support of agentic and Generative AI-powered applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects, including installation, upgrades, and deployment.
• Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects.
• Review and analyze technical assignments requiring research and evaluation.
• Present recommendations for resolving issues or escalate as needed.
• Exercise independent judgment and develop understanding of technology domains regarding security and compliance.
• Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Python

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent.
• 1+ year of Python development experience.
• 1+ year of React or JavaScript experience.
• 1+ year of SQL database design and development experience.
• 6+ months of experience developing Gen AI solutions.

Desired Qualifications

• Java/Spring Boot
• Financial services industry experience
• Experience with enterprise scale technology platforms
• Expertise in SDLC and CI/CD
• Expertise in secure coding and vulnerability management
