About the Role
Wert Group is hiring a Sales Representative to find and qualify new business leads for a management consulting firm. The job is remote from anywhere in the United States. You will work by phone and email with owners and managers at mid-sized companies, mostly in manufacturing, distribution and business services, and keep the contact records current in our CRM as conversations move forward.
About Wert Group
Wert Group is a management consulting firm based in Boston, Massachusetts. We work with business leaders, owners and management teams on strategy, organization design and governance. Our work covers operating models, performance review, decision rights and regional structures across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities
- Call and email companies from lists we provide to find out whether they are considering a consulting project.
- Ask a short set of questions to learn how the business is organized and who makes decisions.
- Log every call, email and note in the CRM the same day.
- Set qualified meetings for the partners who run the work.
- Follow up with contacts who asked for more time or more information.
- Keep lists and pipeline status clean so the team can see what is open.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Some outbound calling or lead qualification experience from a job, an internship or a student sales project.
- Comfortable on the phone with people you have not met, including owners and senior managers.
- Working knowledge of a CRM such as Salesforce, HubSpot or Pipedrive.
- Basic Excel for tracking lists and outcomes.
- Good command of English, written and spoken.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications or a related field.
- Up to two years of experience in inside sales or business development, preferred.
- German, which helps with clients in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
- Familiarity with email sequences or dialer tools.
Benefits
- Medical, dental and vision insurance.
- 401(k) with company match.
- Paid time off and paid holidays.
- Annual professional development budget.
- Laptop and home office equipment for remote work.
The Team
You report to the partner who leads business development and work alongside the consultants running current projects. Most contact happens over video calls and shared CRM records, and the partners who take your meetings will tell you how each one went. Training covers our service lines, the questions we ask, and how we keep records of client conversations. If you have done some cold calling or lead research and want to move into selling for a consulting firm, this role gives you a defined patch and clear targets.
