Site Supervisor

Role Description

The Site Supervisor will oversee daily construction activities at project locations in the velambadi, karur Area. This full-time, on-site role includes:

• Monitoring work progress.
• Coordinating labor and subcontractors.
• Ensuring adherence to project plans, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Reviewing drawings.
• Allocating tasks to site staff.
• Tracking materials usage.
• Communicating regularly with project managers and stakeholders regarding timelines, issues, and resource needs.
• Supervising site safety practices.
• Maintaining records such as daily reports and logs.
• Supporting problem-solving when technical or logistical challenges arise.
• Promoting a productive work environment.
• Upholding company policies and compliance requirements on site.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications, and oversee their implementation on site.
• Experience coordinating site activities, including labor management, subcontractor oversight, and materials handling.
• Knowledge of construction safety standards and practices, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage schedules, daily reports, and progress tracking.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, project managers, site staff, and vendors.
• Problem-solving skills to address technical issues, site constraints, and unexpected changes in project conditions.
• Prior experience in building construction or infrastructure projects; supervisory experience on site is preferred.
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is advantageous; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and inspection processes in the Greater Chennai Area is beneficial.
