About the Role
Camunda is hiring an Account Development Representative I (ADR I) to join their energetic outbound Account Development team. This role is a strong entry point into tech sales, focusing on prospecting, discovery, and pipeline generation within an enterprise software environment. The ADR I will work directly with Account Executives and will be responsible for prospecting their own designated accounts. A remote work environment conducive to consistent weekly motions is required, along with the ability to travel 4-6 times per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate qualified pipeline by running outbound prospecting across email, phone, event outreach and attendance, and LinkedIn into target accounts.
- Qualify inbound interest through ADR-led scheduled calls and convert into booked meetings for Account Executives.
- Research accounts, personas, and signals to tailor and leverage AI for high-touch, low-impact motions.
- Partner with Account Executives to understand what constitutes a quality meeting, contact, and account, and adjust approach based on feedback.
- Exhibit excellent operational hygiene by tracking activity and pipeline health in Salesforce and other sales tools to monitor personal inputs and performance.
- Learn Camunda's product and value propositions, and the process orchestration space to have credible, useful conversations with prospects in specific verticals.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Some experience with outbound prospecting or customer-facing communication is preferred. This includes internships, retail, hospitality, or customer support, where building rapport, managing expectations, and handling rejection were involved.
- Comfort with strict time management and prioritization of requests.
- Motivation driven by the quantitative aspects of conducting calls and emails.
- Regular enablement will be provided, with responsibility for monitoring multiple lead sources.
- Curiosity about technology and a willingness to learn a technical product. An engineering background is not required, but genuine interest in Camunda's function and its relevance to prospects is essential.
- Resilience and self-awareness to persist without discouragement and to differentiate between a bad day and a bad approach.
- Coachability: Ability to take feedback from managers and AEs seriously and make timely, meaningful changes to approach.
- Cross-functional relationship building: Curiosity about how things work and identifying individuals who can provide and receive support. Willingness to ask questions and challenge the status quo when a better solution has been experienced.
- Remote environment conducive to consistent weekly motions.
- Ability to travel 4-6 times per year (typically a week or less at a time).
