Merchandise and Stocking Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Provides member service by acknowledging the member, identifying their needs, and providing guidance and support.
• Assists members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and resolving issues and concerns.
• Promotes the company's products and services.
• Maintains the safety of the facility according to company policies and procedures.
• Conducts safety sweeps, follows forklift spotting procedures, and handles/disposes of hazardous materials.
• Corrects and reports unsafe situations to management.
• Maintains the sales floor and merchandise presentation in accordance with company policies.
• Stocks, arranges, and organizes merchandise.
• Sets up, cleans, and organizes product displays.
• Removes damaged goods and signs and prices merchandise.
• Identifies shrink and damages, and secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
• Monitors food and merchandise quality, ensuring product rotation, code dating, product recalls, and sanitation standards are followed.
• Ensures prominent display of promotional and seasonal merchandise.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
• Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources.
• Collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and business partners.
• Identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations.
• Communicates progress and information, and determines and recommends ways to address improvement opportunities.
• Adapts to and learns from change, difficulties, and feedback.
• Fills club pickup orders by assisting with picking and staging throughout the day.
• Ensures products are selected and staged according to company policy and procedures.
• Promptly unloads trucks.
• Assists fellow associates as needed throughout the store.
• Sorts and stocks products on shelves and in the backroom.
• Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.

Compensation

• Hourly wage range: $17.00 to $25.00.
• Actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
• Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
• Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
• Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
