QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of web and/or mobile applications.
• Test HRMS modules including Recruitment, Employee Management, Attendance, Leave Management, Payroll, Performance Management, or Employee Self-Service.
• Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to prepare test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute functional testing, regression testing, smoke testing, integration testing, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document, track, and report software defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Verify defect fixes and perform retesting.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to resolve issues.
• Validate application workflows, UI elements, data accuracy, and user experience.
• Maintain test documentation and provide regular updates on testing progress.
• Ensure the application meets quality standards before release.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• 2 years of experience in software quality assurance or manual testing.
• Experience in web application or mobile application testing is mandatory.
• Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Knowledge of functional testing, regression testing, smoke testing, and retesting.
• Ability to write and execute test cases and test scenarios.
• Familiarity with defect-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Good analytical skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and business processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to at least one HRMS module is preferred.
• Experience testing any HRMS product or application.
• Understanding of HR processes such as employee onboarding, leave management, attendance, payroll, or recruitment.
• Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of automation testing is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation is an advantage.
