yocto Linux Embedded Engineer (Ahmedabad Location)

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, and enhancing scalable software applications that support our PLC software / SCADA software / IOT drivers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and modules.
• Develop scalable and reliable backend and/or frontend applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and efficient code.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party APIs.
• Work with databases for data storage, retrieval, and optimization.
• Work on real-time data processing, dashboards, reports, and analytics.
• Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production support.
• Collaborate with IoT, automation, QA, product, and operations teams.
• Understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
• Perform unit testing and participate in code reviews.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow software development best practices.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of applications.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong knowledge of Java / Python / .NET / Node.js or any relevant programming language.
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, and web services.
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub/GitLab and version control.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and debugging techniques.
• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms.

Additional Experience (Advantageous)

• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and frontend frameworks such as React/Angular.
• Knowledge of real-time data processing.
• Exposure to PLC, SCADA, MQTT, OPC-UA or industrial communication protocols.
• Experience developing manufacturing dashboards, analytics, or reporting applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/MCA candidates are preferred.
• 1–4 years of experience in software development.
• Freshers with strong programming fundamentals and relevant academic/projects in software development or IoT may also be considered.
