About the Role
Japanese Ninjas is seeking an N2 Certified Japanese Language Trainer for a full-time, remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured online lessons focusing on JLPT N2-level grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and listening skills.
- Prepare lesson plans and learning materials.
- Conduct live interactive sessions.
- Assign and review homework.
- Provide individual feedback to learners.
- Regularly assess learner progress.
- Clarify complex concepts and adapt teaching strategies to different learning styles.
- Participate in curriculum refinement.
- Maintain accurate records of learner performance.
- Collaborate with other trainers to uphold teaching standards.
- Maintain consistent availability for scheduled classes and student support.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong proficiency in Japanese language, preferably JLPT N2 or higher certification.
- Experience in teaching or training, especially in Japanese language instruction.
- Ability to design structured lessons and explain complex concepts simply.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese.
- Strong interpersonal skills for engaging learners online.
- Comfort with remote teaching tools and digital platforms (e.g., video conferencing, online whiteboards, learning management systems).
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain consistency.
- Passion for teaching, patience, cultural sensitivity, and a learner-centric approach.
Qualifications
- JLPT N2 or higher certification is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- A degree in languages, education, or a related field is an advantage.
- Prior experience preparing students for JLPT or similar language proficiency examinations is highly beneficial.
