A Little More About Your Role

• Produce and supervise high-quality, industry-leading building designs.
• Realize WSP’s and client net zero carbon commitments and ambitions by delivering highly sustainable, low-carbon design.
• Share knowledge and technical skills with colleagues globally.
• Work in an environment that encourages initiative with support from specialist experience to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
• Supervise the completion of detailed designs and the work of others, maximizing joint learning opportunities.
• Interpret client specification requirements in design development.
• Design of pipework, including heating, cooling, hot and cold water systems.
• Design of ventilation systems, including general ventilation systems.
• Select plant and equipment items based on designs, including but not limited to Air Handling Units, Fans, Pumps, Pressurisation Units, Boilers, Heat emitters, Chillers, Ductwork and ductwork ancillaries, Pipework and pipework ancillaries.
• Maintain detailed working knowledge of compliance requirements to Building Regulations, Part L and other MEP sustainable and Net Zero design requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver major railway stations from early concept to handover.
• Stretch and further knowledge with an exceptional culture of support to enhance capabilities and skills, fostering career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience of mechanical building services design in the Rail environment, including: heating, cooling, hot and cold water, and ventilation systems.
• Chartership status.
• Understanding of:
• The requirements of Metro / Rail standards.
• The design of controls/BMS for mechanical systems.
• HVAC Systems.
