About the Role
Salas O’Brien is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join their commercial division. This role involves working on projects within Aviation, K-12, Higher-Ed, Hospitality, Office, Municipal, and other building types.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, studies, permits, and designs for assigned projects.
- Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
- Assist with client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
- "Team" with Senior Engineers and participate in their work as an observer.
- Operate engineering software to solve specific problems and input required data.
- Familiarize yourself with state-of-the-art design and various state and local regulations.
Responsibilities Include
- Interior and exterior lighting design.
- Building power distribution.
- Emergency power systems.
- Fire alarm systems.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in computer-assisted engineering and design software.
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art design.
- Understanding of various state and local regulations.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
- Past experience through co-op or summer internships is helpful.
- E.I.T. certification is a plus.
