SQL Developer Intern, India

About the Role

Skillzenloop is looking for a motivated SQL Developer Intern interested in database management, data retrieval, query optimization, and database development. The selected candidate will gain practical experience working with relational databases, writing SQL queries, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting database-related projects in a remote working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and execute SQL queries to retrieve, filter, and analyze data from relational databases.
• Assist in designing and maintaining database tables, views, and relationships.
• Work with SQL operations such as SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE.
• Develop queries using JOINs, subqueries, aggregate functions, and common table expressions.
• Assist in creating database structures based on project requirements.
• Identify and resolve basic SQL query errors and database inconsistencies.
• Support database testing, data validation, and quality assurance activities.
• Assist in analyzing database performance and improving query efficiency.
• Work with primary keys, foreign keys, indexes, and constraints.
• Prepare and maintain database documentation.
• Collaborate with developers and analysts to understand data requirements.
• Follow appropriate data handling and database management practices.

Skills and Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Understanding of database tables, relationships, keys, and constraints.
• Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or another relational database system is preferred.
• Knowledge of JOINs, GROUP BY, ORDER BY, and aggregate functions.
• Basic understanding of database normalization is beneficial.
• Familiarity with database design and query optimization concepts is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of Excel or data analysis is beneficial.
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates pursuing or holding a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field may apply.
• Freshers and entry-level candidates are welcome.
• Candidates with academic database projects or practical SQL experience are encouraged to apply.
• Applicants should have access to a computer and a reliable internet connection.

• Duration: 1–3 Months
• Stipend: ₹15,000–₹16,000 per month
