About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Bengaluru. The Interior Designer will plan and design functional, aesthetically pleasing interior spaces for residential and commercial projects, aligned with client requirements and Square Yards’ brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and design functional, aesthetically pleasing interior spaces.
- Conduct space planning.
- Develop conceptual designs.
- Select finishes and materials.
- Coordinate FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) to meet project budgets and timelines.
- Prepare construction drawings and documentation.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and vendors.
- Oversee site execution to ensure design intent is maintained.
- Participate in client meetings.
- Present design proposals.
- Incorporate feedback.
- Support cross-functional teams within Square Yards’ broader home furnishing and interior solutions offerings.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong proficiency in Interior Design and Space Planning.
- Understanding of Architecture principles.
- Ability to develop accurate Construction Drawings and technical documentation.
- Experience with FF&E selection, including furniture, fixtures, finishes, and equipment sourcing and specification.
- Proficiency in design and visualization software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools).
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of local building codes, materials, and construction practices in Bengaluru is an advantage.
- Prior experience in residential or commercial interior projects, preferably within a proptech or real estate environment, is beneficial.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong client communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
