About the Role

The Owner role at Cyient is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The individual in this role is accountable for end-to-end ownership of a business unit, portfolio, or strategic program, including setting objectives, defining success metrics, and driving execution against organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing business strategies.
• Overseeing project delivery and operational performance.
• Managing budgets and forecasts.
• Ensuring quality, safety, and compliance standards are met.
• Building and leading cross-functional teams.
• Nurturing customer relationships.
• Identifying growth opportunities.
• Coordinating with senior leadership to align initiatives with Cyient’s global vision.
• Making data-informed decisions.
• Resolving escalations.
• Championing continuous improvement across processes and outcomes.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Familiarity with engineering, technology, or digital solutions relevant to sectors such as aerospace, mobility, energy, connectivity, or healthcare.
• Experience in using data and analytics for decision-making, performance tracking, and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people management skills, including team building, performance management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Proven experience in business ownership, program management, or P&L responsibility within engineering services or related industries.
• Strategic thinking and planning capabilities, with demonstrated experience in setting goals, defining roadmaps, and driving execution.
• Financial and operational acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and with global clients.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Hyderabad and collaborate across time zones as part of a global organization.
