About the Role
Ocean Film Company is a 360-degree storytelling studio based in Mumbai. This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in Mumbai.
Key Responsibilities
- Editing social media content, ad films, and corporate films.
- Assembling raw footage, selecting key moments, and creating cohesive, engaging video narratives aligned with project briefs and brand guidelines.
- Editing video sequences, refining pacing, and adding transitions.
- Syncing audio.
- Collaborating with directors, producers, and other creatives to achieve the desired visual style.
- Performing basic color correction and grading.
- Integrating motion graphics or visual elements where needed.
- Organizing media assets.
- Maintaining an efficient post-production workflow.
- Reviewing feedback and iterating on cuts.
- Ensuring final deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent).
- Basic knowledge of tools such as After Effects or similar.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including experience handling raw footage and shaping narrative flow.
- Skills in Video Color Grading, with the ability to perform color correction and enhance visual tone and consistency.
- Skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics, with familiarity in creating or integrating titles, overlays, and simple animated elements.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong visual storytelling ability.
- Time management skills.
- Capacity to collaborate effectively with a creative team.
- A portfolio or showreel showcasing previous video editing work is required.
- Relevant education or training in film, media, or a related field is an advantage.
