Site Engineer

Location: Kollam

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities.
• Ensure work execution aligns with design specifications, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with civil engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor structural work.
• Resolve technical issues.
• Review drawings and plans.
• Supervise on-site teams.
• Track progress against schedules.
• Report updates to the director of the internship program and project leads.
• Maintain documentation.
• Support quality control checks.
• Guide interns and junior team members in best practices on site.

Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively in an on-site environment, managing day-to-day construction activities and collaborating with field teams.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with civil engineers, contractors, interns, and other project stakeholders.
• Experience or knowledge in quality control processes, including inspection, compliance with standards, and documentation of site activities.
• Background in structural engineering or civil engineering, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and support safe, accurate construction work.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Understanding of construction safety practices and local building regulations.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work independently under on-site constraints.
• Prior experience supervising or mentoring interns or junior staff is an advantage.
