About the Role
StoneForge Research is hiring its first dedicated RF Engineer. You will own RF at StoneForge and work directly with the founders.
Key Responsibilities
- Decide which antennas fit specific applications and make design calls.
- Design phased and MIMO arrays for imaging multiple points simultaneously.
- Simulate antennas and wave-material interaction using tools like HFSS.
- Debug hardware in the lab and in the field.
- Serve as the point of contact with external RF design and manufacturing teams.
- Work with RF PCBs and front ends, understanding their interaction with arrays.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- EM simulation experience.
- Working knowledge of RF PCBs and lab equipment (e.g., VNA).
- Experience with HFSS or similar simulation software.
- Hands-on EM simulation experience.
Qualifications
- BTech/MTech in ECE/EEE.
- Strong fundamentals in EM, antennas, and array theory.
- A track record of building things.
- Bonus: Experience with radar or microwave imaging, MIMO systems, or DSP basics.
