About the Role
This is a contract position at a full-service law firm that contracts to represent the Division of Family & Children Services, Division of Child Support Services, and Office of Inspector General handling EBT Fraud cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform legal research and analysis.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
- Assist in trial preparation and litigation, including attending and handling court hearings at Juvenile Court, Superior Court, and OSAH.
- Collaborate with clients, other attorneys, and staff.
- Maintain case files.
- Attend court hearings.
- Comply with all relevant legal and ethical standards.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficient in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
- Strong legal research, analytical, and case drafting skills.
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents, pleadings, motions, and contracts.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain case files, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, client management, and collaboration skills.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
- Active membership in the Georgia State Bar.
- Prior experience in litigation support or trial preparation is preferred.
