Data Analytics Intern

About the Internship

Angel City FC is looking for a Data Analytics Intern to join our Data team for the fall semester. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in coding and sports business analytics while giving you an inside look at how a professional sports organization operates. You'll work closely with the Data team to support tracking key metrics across major business verticals. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to real projects, collaborate with teammates across the organization, and develop practical skills that will help prepare you for a career in sports business analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Support ticketing analytics by preparing reports on pricing optimization and forecasting
• Assist with writing and reviewing code, testing dashboards, and creating documentation
• Research and document legacy reporting and business KPIs while leveraging AI
• Research applicable marketing trends and their impact on ticketing
• Collaborate with Ticket Sales to communicate complex insights in a clear and compelling way
• Support additional projects and assignments that provide opportunities to learn and contribute to the team

Requirements & Tech Stack

• An interest in sports, ticket sales, or data
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college/university program, recently graduated, or have equivalent education or experience, preferably in data science, statistics, business, or a related area
• Develop practical skills in SQL, Tableau, and AI
• Learn how data & technology operates within a professional sports environment

This is a paid internship based in Los Angeles, CA, with a compensation rate of $19 per hour.

The expected schedule is approximately 20-25 hours per week, with 2-3 days per week working from our Los Angeles office.

The role may require occasional evening, weekend, or matchday work, depending on the needs of the department.
