About the Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Intermediate Care will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This role utilizes evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to create a safe patient environment and enhance the patient experience.

Intermediate Care Unit

Intermediate Care is a 24-bed stepdown unit that bridges the gap between the intensive care unit and general medical units. It serves a patient population with various pulmonary, neurological, renal, geriatric, and infectious disease processes, requiring frequent bedside monitoring and an increased level of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of RN experience.

Schedule Details

• Full time, 36 hours per week.
• 3 x 12-hour shifts weekly.
• Days and nights available.
• Every 3rd weekend rotation.

Compensation

• Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30 per hour.
• Base compensation will be determined by factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training.
• Premium pay (e.g., shift, on-call) may be applicable.
• Incentive pay available for select positions.
