About the Role
Stanley Consultants is seeking an Electrical Student Intern for its Muscatine, IA office.
What You Will Be Doing
- Develop an understanding of electrical power, lighting, control, and communications systems for building and site infrastructure projects.
- Understand engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform and check engineering calculations.
- Coordinate information with vendors.
- Perform field site visits.
- Back check drawings.
- Gain familiarity with computer software.
- Perform general clerk duties.
- Potentially responsible for specific design tasks under supervision, which may include:
- Electrical system modeling.
- Lighting and power calculations.
- Electrical lighting and power plans.
- Panelboard and equipment schedules.
- Equipment wiring drawings and schematics.
- Work independently on assigned tasks and seek out experienced engineers for questions.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Enrolled in BSEE Degree Program at an ABET accredited University.
- Must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior working towards a BS in Electrical Engineering.
- GPA 3.0 or higher.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Local to the Iowa area.
- Must be able to work legally in the United States for an unlimited time without requiring sponsorship.
