About the Role
Trek Bicycle is offering a Summer Internship Program at their Waterloo HQ for Mechanical Engineering Interns. This full-time internship is scheduled for Summer 2027, starting May 24th, and is looking for two interns.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and prototyping of bicycle components and systems
- Conduct mechanical testing and analyze performance data
- Support CAD modeling, drawing creation, and design reviews
- Help improve manufacturing processes and product reliability
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas
- Test and validate designs by riding bikes
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Familiarity with CAD software (Onshape preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Hands-on experience with prototyping or fabrication is a plus
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Passion for bicycles
- Interest in product design
