Junior Interior Designer

About the Role

Apeksha Dishank Studio is a boutique architecture and interior design firm focused on creating timeless, refined spaces that unite classic elegance with modern functionality. The studio emphasizes a personalized, collaborative approach, ensuring each project reflects the client’s lifestyle and vision. Work ranges from bespoke residential interiors to high-end commercial environments, offering team members exposure to diverse design typologies. Designers at the studio engage deeply in storytelling through space, materials, and detail, contributing to projects that are both aesthetically sophisticated and highly livable. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design team in developing interior concepts.
• Prepare mood boards.
• Assist with space planning and FF&E selections for residential and commercial projects.
• Produce drawings and presentations.
• Coordinate with vendors.
• Assist in site measurements.
• Help translate design ideas into detailed construction documentation.
• Participate in client meetings.
• Incorporate feedback into design revisions.
• Maintain project documentation and sample libraries.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar design tools.
• Ability to create digital presentations.

Qualifications

• Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with an ability to develop functional, aesthetically balanced layouts.
• Knowledge of Architecture and basic understanding of building systems to coordinate interior concepts with structural and architectural elements.
• Proficiency in Construction Drawings, including preparing detailed plans, elevations, and sections using design software.
• FF&E skills, including selection of furniture, finishes, fixtures, and materials aligned with project concepts and budgets.
• Strong visual communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow design direction while contributing creative ideas.
• Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Internship or junior-level studio experience preferred.
• Effective time management and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad.
• Ability to coordinate with clients, consultants, and vendors.
