About the Role

The Mastercam role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune Division. The individual in this role will create and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for 3-axis and 5-axis machining, ensuring parts meet design specifications and tight tolerance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for 3-axis and 5-axis machining.
• Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Select appropriate tooling and machining strategies.
• Verify toolpaths through simulations before production.
• Collaborate with machining operators and engineers to resolve manufacturing issues, improve cycle times, and maintain consistent quality.
• Document programming processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to safety and aerospace quality standards.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong Mastercam proficiency for CNC programming.
• Expertise in 3-axis and 5-axis toolpath generation and optimization.
• Experience with CNC machining operations.
• Knowledge of cutting parameters and tooling selection for metals and alloys.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD models.
• Knowledge of AS9100 or similar aerospace quality standards.
• Adherence to shop safety practices.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and tight-tolerance machining.
• Problem-solving skills on the shop floor.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, quality teams, and machine operators.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical diploma or degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or a related field.
• Prior experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
