Key Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting audits of financial records, payroll processes, and statutory compliance related to labor and employment regulations.
• Review documentation and prepare working papers.
• Identify discrepancies or non-compliance issues.
• Support the preparation of audit reports.
• Coordinate with senior auditors.
• Communicate findings to clients in a clear and professional manner.
• Help implement corrective actions.
• Stay updated on relevant labor laws and regulations.
• Participate in internal training.
• Contribute to process improvements within the firm.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency with MS Office tools (especially Excel and Word).
• Ability to work with accounting or compliance software.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of basic auditing principles and procedures, including documentation review and preparation of working papers.
• Knowledge of Indian labor laws and related statutory compliance requirements (e.g., wages, working hours, social security contributions, employee benefits).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and professionally.
• High level of attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team, follow guidance from senior staff, and manage time and tasks effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Pursuing or intending to pursue professional qualifications (e.g., CA, CMA) is an advantage.
• Interest in developing a career in audit, compliance, and labor law, with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing regulations.
