About the Role
As a Financial Analyst supporting the Home & Community In-Home Risk Finance team, you will have the opportunity to build a strong foundation in financial planning & analysis (FP&A) while learning how finance supports a complex and evolving healthcare business. This position is full-time and Onsite at Eden Prairie-1 Optum Circle.
Key Responsibilities
- Support monthly financial reporting and consolidation of results across business areas, including reviewing results for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform variance analysis across actuals, forecast, and budget to help explain financial performance.
- Support the administration, tracking, and financial analysis of intersegment agreements across business segments, including coordination with Finance partners.
- Partner with Finance and business teams to support ad hoc analysis, reporting requests, and FP&A activities.
- Help identify and implement opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate financial reporting, consolidation, and forecasting processes.
- Perform other responsibilities as required.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- High School Diploma / GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data
- Foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience working with formulas, large datasets, and financial models
- Ability to work full time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Hyperion Essbase and PeopleSoft Financials
- Data visualization skills using Power BI and/or Tableau

- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data integrity
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities in a deadline-driven environment
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable learning new processes, systems, and business concepts
