Position Summary

The Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, conducting research, mentoring students, contributing to curriculum development, and participating in academic, administrative, and accreditation-related activities in accordance with the norms prescribed by AICTE and UGC.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching & Learning
• Deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and project guidance in Computer Science & Engineering subjects.
• Develop course plans, lesson plans, and teaching materials.
• Conduct assessments, examinations, and evaluations as per institutional regulations.
• Mentor students for academic excellence, internships, and career development.
• Adopt innovative teaching methodologies, outcome-based education (OBE), and digital learning platforms.
• Research & Publications
• Undertake research activities in the areas of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, etc.
• Publish research papers in reputed journals/conferences.
• Prepare and submit proposals for sponsored research and consultancy projects.
• Guide student projects, research activities, and innovation initiatives.
• Academic Administration
• Participate in curriculum design and revision.
• Contribute to NBA, NAAC, NIRF, and accreditation processes.
• Maintain course files, laboratory records, and academic documentation.
• Serve on departmental and institutional committees.
• Industry Interaction & Extension Activities
• Develop industry-academia collaborations.
• Organize workshops, FDPs, seminars, hackathons, and technical events.
• Support placement, internship, entrepreneurship, and innovation activities.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Programming Languages: C, C++, Java, Python
• Core CS Concepts: Data Structures & Algorithms, Database Management Systems, Operating Systems, Computer Networks
• Specializations: Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Data Science & Analytics, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, Web Technologies, Internet of Things (IoT)

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering or relevant specialization with First Class or equivalent either at Bachelor's or Master's level.
• Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering / related discipline.
• Relevant certifications in AI, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Data Analytics, or emerging technologies.
• Record of quality publications, patents, funded projects, or consultancy assignments.
• Prior teaching, research, or industry experience will be preferred.
