About the Role
As a 2027 Actuarial Summer Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting actuarial work across our lines of business. You’ll work with data, reporting, pricing, loss experience, and rate adequacy while learning from experienced actuarial professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support actuarial data analysis, reporting, and database maintenance.
- Assist with loss experience, pricing, and rate adequacy projects.
- Prepare summaries and reports for business partners, including Underwriting, Claims, and Sales.
- Support testing and review of source files for system conversion initiatives.
- Contribute to ad hoc actuarial projects while progressing toward actuarial exams.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong academic performance and an interest in actuarial work, data analysis, insurance, or financial services.
- Curious, collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Previous work, volunteer, leadership, or community involvement experience preferred.
Program Details
- 10-week program, running from June through August.
- Hybrid work schedule: Tuesdays and Wednesdays required in office.
- Professional development trainings, senior leader speaker event, corporate charity fundraising project, and networking opportunities.
- Expected hiring range: $17.68 - $21.87 hourly.
