About the Role
Quality Assurance Intern – Fort Dodge, Iowa (Summer 2027)
As a Summer 2027 Quality Assurance Intern with Elanco Animal Health, you will be part of the Quality Assurance team at the Fort Dodge, Iowa manufacturing plant. You will support activities related to the oversight of manufacturing and distribution of commercial products. There will be opportunities to gain experience in areas such as Quality Management System, Pharmaceutical Products, and Audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Defining, measuring, analyzing, and improving identified processes within the quality organization.
- Understanding manufacturing processes and how Quality supports them.
- Working within cross-functional teams to support inspection readiness activities, investigations, and continuous improvement projects.
- Gaining real-world experience in a regulated environment.
- Assisting with production and analytical processes to ensure they are carried out with appropriate Sterility Assurance standards.
- Studying design improvement processes.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a concentration in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related field) or Engineering.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Interest in animal health manufacturing, problem solving, scientific methods, or cross-functional skill development.
- Ability to thrive in cross-functional team settings.
Additional Information
- Travel: 10% to corporate facility in Indianapolis, IN for opening/closing.
- Location: Fort Dodge Manufacturing Plant, Fort Dodge, IA.
- Internship Dates: May 17th – August 6th, 2027.
- Salary: $20-$40/hour (dependent upon major and year in school).
