About the Role
- Paid summer internship opportunities for talented and motivated college students in the UPS Technology Group.
- Based in Timonium, MD (hybrid role).
Internship Overview
- Multiple internship positions available: software engineering, application development, data analytics, product management, and information security.
- Placement will be within one of the following product teams:
- EDA – Enterprise Data & Analytics
- OPT – Operations Technology
- OTE – Operations Technology Engineering
- BaSE Tech – Building and Systems Engineering Technology
- GHS – Global Healthcare Solutions
- CTI – Commercial Technology & International
- EFS – Fintech
- GIS – Global Infrastructure Services
- CT – Customer Technology
- TPG- Enterprise Technology Portfolio & Governance
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to projects within your assigned product team.
- Apply and develop technical and soft skills through hands-on experience.
- Collaborate with team members and mentors to achieve project goals.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Familiarity with at least three technical skills from the following categories:
- Programming Languages: Java, Python, C++, .NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL
- Operating Systems: Linux/Unix, Windows Server
- Platforms/Frameworks: Agile Methodology, Cloud Technology (Azure, OpenShift, Kubernetes), ASP.NET, Spring Framework, Angular
- Data Systems: Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, Oracle Database
- Networking/Infrastructure: LAN/WAN Networking, Cisco IOS/NX-OS
- Tools & Technologies: ServiceNow, Ansible, PowerShell, Qualys, Visual Studio
- Development & Testing: Web Development, DEVOPS, Testing, Performance Testing, REST API, SOAP
- Additional Skills: Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Container Platforms/Cloud Development, Microsoft Suite
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within the last 24 months) from a degreed college/university program.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Data Analytics, MIS, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Must live within a commutable distance to Timonium, MD, or be willing to relocate for the duration of the internship.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week from June to August.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $13.35 - $30.00/hour for Undergraduate Interns; $22.60 - $52.00/hour for Postgraduate Interns.
- Eligibility for 401(k) retirement program, Discounted Employee Stock Purchase Program, and personal time.
