Civil and structural detailers

About the Role

The Civil and Structural Detailer will prepare detailed drawings and 3D models for civil and structural components, including foundations, columns, beams, slabs, and connections, based on engineering designs and specifications. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings and 3D models for civil and structural components.
• Interpret design inputs, coordinating with engineers to resolve technical queries.
• Produce accurate shop drawings, reinforcement details, and layout plans that comply with relevant codes and standards.
• Check and update drawings to reflect design changes, ensuring dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain organized documentation and drawing registers.
• Collaborate with project teams, respond to contractor and fabricator requirements, and support quality control processes for issued drawings.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong skills in structural and civil detailing software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, or similar tools).
• Proficiency in preparing 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and design codes.
• Solid understanding of structural elements, reinforcement detailing, and construction practices.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in dimensioning, annotation, and revision control.
• Capability to review and self-check drawings for consistency and compliance.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical qualification such as a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience in detailing.
• Familiarity with national and international design and detailing standards (e.g., IS codes, ACI, BS/Eurocodes) is an advantage.
• Prior experience in consulting, EPC, or fabrication-related detailing roles is preferred but not mandatory.
