About SVECTOR

SVECTOR is a technology company building intelligence infrastructure for enterprises and institutions. They develop software systems to help organizations understand complex information, improve decision-making, and execute critical business processes across various sectors including enterprise intelligence, talent and leadership decision systems, healthcare, industrial technology, financial intelligence, and defensive intelligence. SVECTOR focuses on problems where technology must go beyond generating information to help people understand, decide, and achieve measurable outcomes.

About the Role

SVECTOR is hiring a Strategic Initiatives Associate to work closely with company leadership on selected product, technology, and business initiatives. This is an early-career role for individuals who are curious, capable, and dependable, seeking to understand how a technology business operates while taking direct responsibility for meaningful work. The role involves taking assigned objectives, developing practical approaches, coordinating with relevant people, and driving work to a verified result. Collaboration will occur across engineering, product, and business teams on tasks such as investigating product issues, understanding customer requirements, preparing business analyses, coordinating pilots, and moving initiatives from planning to execution. The emphasis is on contributing directly to work that produces results, rather than solely attending meetings or preparing presentations. Prior experience in an identical role is not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Execution
  • Understand the objective, constraints, and importance of assigned initiatives.
  • Break objectives into activities, deliverables, owners, and milestones.
  • Coordinate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
  • Identify delays, dependencies, and gaps early, resolving blockers within authority.
  • Follow up on commitments and maintain visibility of progress, pending actions, and open issues.
  • Verify completed work against original requirements.
  • Prepare short progress summaries and flag decisions requiring leadership attention.
  • Understanding the work being coordinated is expected.
  • Product and Technical-Business Work
  • Utilize SVECTOR's software products to understand their capabilities and limits.
  • Comprehend customer workflows and the problems customers expect the product to solve.
  • Investigate reported issues, differentiating defects from unclear requirements or new feature requests.
  • Translate business and customer needs into clear problem statements, requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with engineers to understand constraints, dependencies, and potential approaches.
  • Support demos, testing, customer pilots, and implementation, confirming delivered work meets requirements.
  • Strong technical literacy is important; comfort with concepts like APIs, databases, integrations, and data flows is beneficial, with a willingness to learn.
  • Research and Analysis
  • Research companies, industries, technologies, and business opportunities.
  • Compare competitors, products, technical approaches, and tools.
  • Study enterprise customers and their operating environments.
  • Review reports, specifications, and original source material.
  • Prepare decision briefs and recommendations outlining knowns, evidence, uncertainties, and next steps.
  • Independent thinking and verifying claims are valued over generic observations.
  • Business and Customer Initiatives
  • Research prospective customers and decision-makers, preparing background for discussions.
  • Support demos, discovery calls, and technical-business presentations.
  • Translate customer feedback into specific product or business actions.
  • Assist with proposals and solution briefs, and coordinate pilot follow-ups.
  • Participate in customer meetings and communicate with external stakeholders when authorized.
  • There is no individual sales quota. Pricing, contracts, and financial commitments require leadership approval.
  • Leadership Support and AI Tools
  • Prepare briefing notes and short memos for important discussions.
  • Record decisions, commitments, and open questions, tying actions to owners.
  • Utilize AI tools and modern software for research, document analysis, and repetitive workflows, verifying output against reliable sources.
  • Using AI does not negate the responsibility to understand one's own work; unverified AI-generated documents are not acceptable deliverables. Adherence to company rules on confidential information and data handling is mandatory.

Who You Are

  • Curious: Eager to understand complex problems.
  • Accountable: Focuses on outcomes and is honest about obstacles and mistakes.
  • Structured: Breaks down problems, tests assumptions, and reaches reasoned conclusions.
  • Clear Communicator: Excellent written and spoken English, with precise emails, briefs, and summaries.
  • Technically Curious: Enjoys learning how software is built and used. Coding experience is helpful but not required.
  • Reliable: Respects deadlines and confidentiality, knows when to seek approval, and accepts feedback well.

Qualifications

  • 0–4 years of relevant experience (internships, independent projects, research, entrepreneurship, or full-time work are considered).
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, AI, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Management, or a related field is preferred. Other backgrounds may be considered if projects demonstrate capability. An MBA is not required.
  • Relevant experience in product operations, business analysis, technical consulting, software development, strategic research, or project execution is valuable.
  • Demonstrated work such as a completed product or technical project, an internship solving a real problem, a research assignment with a defensible conclusion, or an initiative where you took responsibility beyond assigned work is highly valued.
  • This role is execution-oriented, focused on product understanding, research, problem-solving, and completing initiatives, and is not an administrative, personal-assistant, production-focused software engineering, pure consulting, or senior management position.

What Success Looks Like

  • First 30 days: Learn products, workflows, and priorities; complete initial research and product assignments accurately.
  • Days 31–60: Own a defined initiative, prepare an execution approach, and maintain visible progress.
  • Days 61–90: Carry an initiative to an agreed result or a documented handover.

Hiring Process

  • Application review
  • Initial discussion
  • Practical assessment: A realistic research, product, or business task. AI tools may be used where permitted, but participants must be able to explain and verify their work.
  • Leadership interview
  • Offer discussion: Responsibilities, compensation, schedule, and joining date are confirmed before a written offer.

Working Arrangements

  • Full-time, on-site in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
  • Monday to Saturday.
  • Schedule, compensation, and joining terms are confirmed before a formal offer.

How to Apply

Send your resume with a short note covering:

  • Your strongest example of ownership: what you did, which decisions you made, and what happened.
  • Why you are interested in technology, research, product understanding, and business execution.
  • Your current location, availability to work full-time on-site in Ahmedabad, and earliest joining date.
  • Links to projects, GitHub, portfolios, or research are welcome. Please skip generic statements.
