About the Role
The Fashion Design Intern role is an on-site internship based in Mumbai. The intern will support the design team in developing collections across categories such as resort wear, evening wear, and bridal couture.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and development of collections.
- Creation of mood boards and sketches.
- Assisting with fabric selection, trims, and surface details.
- Preparing technical specs.
- Coordinating with sampling and production teams.
- Assisting with fittings, alterations, and garment finishing.
- Organizing samples.
- Maintaining design archives.
- Preparing presentations for internal reviews or shows.
- Active collaboration with designers, pattern makers, and stylists.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong foundation in Fashion Design, including sketching, concept development, and garment construction.
- Working knowledge of Textiles and Sewing for fabric handling, draping, and finishing techniques.
- Basic Graphic Design skills for digital sketches, presentations, and mood boards.
- Interest and capability in Fashion Styling to support look development, fittings, and visual storytelling.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Time management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced studio environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn from cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Fashion Design or a related field.
- On-site presence required in Mumbai.
