About the Role
The Chiller Plant Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The technician will monitor and operate chiller plant equipment, including chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and associated controls, ensuring safe and efficient performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate chiller plant equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and record operating parameters.
- Identify abnormalities and report issues to supervisors.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Support breakdown maintenance.
- Carry out repairs on mechanical, electrical, and control components.
- Troubleshoot system faults.
- Assist in commissioning activities.
- Follow safety and compliance guidelines.
- Coordinate with engineering and facility teams to minimize downtime and maintain system reliability.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Plant Operations (monitoring, controlling, and optimizing chiller plant equipment)
- Plant Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance for HVAC and chiller systems
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance & Repair on mechanical, electrical, and control components
- Knowledge of HVAC systems
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices
- Knowledge of basic instrumentation and controls
- Ability to read technical manuals, equipment drawings, and maintenance documentation
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in rotating shifts and field conditions
Qualifications
- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, Refrigeration, or related engineering field, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Prior experience in chiller plants, industrial HVAC, or facility management environments is an advantage.
