About the Role

EY is seeking an Executive for Statutory Audit.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out operational, financial, process, and systems audits designed to review and appraise activities, systems, and controls.
• Identify accounting & auditing issues and discuss with audit in-charge to solve arising issues.
• Perform substantive testing of appliances in accordance with the audit plan and document all work performed.
• Identify improvements to control systems and procedures.
• Present audit reports clearly highlighting key audit recommendations to management.
• Prepare and maintain statutory books of accounts, audit, reconcile accounts receivable & payable, and finalize accounts.
• Assist seniors in reviewing and checking financial statements and preparing the audit report, management comment letter, and management representation letter.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Must have strong knowledge of auditing & accounting standards.
• Should have handled statutory audit assignments previously.
• Ability to prioritize work on multiple assignments and manage ambiguity.
• Strong verbal and communication skills.
• Clarity of thoughts and assertive.
• Effectiveness and creativity of written expression - logical, readable, and concise.
• Good presentation skills and ability to respond promptly.
• Should be a team player with a proactive & result-oriented approach.
• Ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant.
• 0-3 years of experience.

• Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client).
