About the Role
Genoa Healthcare, a part of Optum, serves behavioral health and addiction treatment communities by providing personalized pharmacy care services. As a Float Pharmacy Technician, you will support pharmacy functions, dispense prescriptions, and perform clerical duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
Schedule
- Hours will vary depending on the assigned site.
- Operating hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm.
- Occasional Saturday hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm may be required.
Location
- Home base: 1795 Jet Wing Drive, Rm 2230, Colorado Springs, CO, 80916.
- Support will be required in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Denver, and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff.
- Fill prescription orders for verification by a Registered Pharmacist.
- Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
- Receive and process medication orders.
- Verify medication stock and update computer records for inventory management.
- Assist the Pharmacist with pharmacy functions to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
- Perform various clerical duties related to the department.
- Communicate effectively using professional verbal and written skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Colorado.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Valid US driver's license.
- Ability to use your own car to travel to different sites/locations.
Qualifications
- 6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience (Preferred).
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (Preferred).
