Artificial Intelligence Engineer

About the Role

As an Artificial Intelligence Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to support the Air Force. On defensive and offensive cyberspace operations teams, you'll train, test, deploy, and maintain models that learn from data. You will own and define the direction of mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit ML algorithms and technologies. You will also develop AI-native solutions incorporating multiple disciplines spanning across software development, platform integration, and cloud engineering, and the latest AI tooling such as Bedrock or LLM, LangChain or LangGraph, and Agentic workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Train, test, deploy, and maintain models that learn from data.
• Define the direction of mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit ML algorithms and technologies.
• Develop AI-native solutions incorporating multiple disciplines.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, solutions architects, and developers.
• Guide clients through the landscape of ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks.
• Solve real-world challenges and define ML strategy for defensive and offensive cyberspace operations.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• 2+ years of experience in ML, data science, data engineering, or software development.
• Experience with integration of LLMs or Agentic workflows within software stacks.
• Experience with the Agile software development lifecycle and full-stack web application development.
• Knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, Python, and HTML or CSS.
• Ability to solve complex and critical problems, iterate rapidly, and deliver results.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or a Science or Mathematics field.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, and Palantir Foundry.
• Top Secret clearance.
• DoD 8570 Level II Certification.

Compensation

• Projected compensation range: $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).
