About the Role

• Full-time, on-site Reporter role.
• Based in the Pune District.
• Covering academic activities, research initiatives, events, and student/faculty achievements for the Erasmus Mundus Master's Programme in Cybersecurity and Assurance (CYBERSURE).
• Producing clear and accurate news articles, features, and multimedia content for internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend lectures, workshops, and conferences.
• Conduct interviews with stakeholders.
• Verify information from multiple sources.
• Transform complex cybersecurity topics into accessible narratives.
• Collaborate with academic staff and communications teams to plan coverage.
• Meet strict deadlines.
• Adhere to ethical reporting standards.
• Maintain consistent quality and style across all published materials.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong reporting skills, including gathering information, verifying facts, and preparing timely news coverage.
• Excellent communication abilities for interviewing, source building, and collaborating with academic and administrative teams.
• Proficient writing and news writing skills, with the ability to present complex cybersecurity topics clearly and accurately.
• Multimedia skills for creating and editing content across formats such as text, images, audio, and video.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work under deadline pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to ethical journalism, accuracy, and gender-neutral, inclusive storytelling.
• Comfort working on-site in Pune District and engaging with diverse international students, faculty, and partners.

Qualifications

• Relevant bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, media studies, or a related field.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity or technology domains is an advantage.
