About the Role

Crossing Infotech is hiring a Cyber Security Intern for a full-time remote internship in India. The internship is designed for freshers and students looking to build a career in cybersecurity. Interns will work on live projects under the guidance of experienced team members.

Job Details

• Duration: 1 to 3 months
• Stipend: INR 15,500 to INR 16,500 per month
• Employment Type: Full Time (Internship)

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor systems, networks, and applications for security alerts and unusual activity.
• Assist in vulnerability assessments and basic security testing under supervision.
• Review security logs and help identify and report potential threats.
• Support the team in following security policies, access controls, and best practices.
• Help check the security of websites, servers, and cloud setups using standard tools.
• Prepare reports on security findings and suggest improvements.
• Research the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry standards.
• Prepare basic documentation for security processes and incident reports.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Skills:
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts (CIA triad, threats, vulnerabilities, risks).
• Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, firewalls).
• Familiarity with Linux commands and operating system basics.
• Basic understanding of common security issues (phishing, malware, OWASP Top 10).
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and spoken English communication.
• Good to Have:
• Familiarity with tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, or Burp Suite.
• Knowledge of SIEM tools or basic ethical hacking concepts.
• Basic understanding of Python or Bash scripting.
• Any cybersecurity course, certification (CEH, Security+) or lab experience.
• Eligibility:
• Students and recent graduates in B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc (Computer Science or IT), M.Sc, or any related field.
• Freshers interested in building a career in cybersecurity.
• Candidates with a laptop or computer and a stable internet connection.
