Role Description

The Volunteer role at Milesef is a full-time, on-site position based in Thane. The volunteer will support the fire safety and security operations team by assisting with documentation, scheduling, and coordination related to safety projects and client consultations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with documentation, scheduling, and coordination.
• Helping prepare reports.
• Organizing site visit materials.
• Maintaining records of safety checks.
• Supporting internal communications between technical staff and clients.
• Learning basic fire safety and security procedures.
• Assisting with awareness campaigns.
• Helping the team ensure timely delivery of services.
• Contributing to community and workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks reliably.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to support documentation and coordination with team members and clients.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with office productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email).
• Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work well in a team and follow established safety guidelines and procedures.
• Willingness to learn about fire safety and security concepts and apply this knowledge in day-to-day activities.
• Relevant coursework or interest in safety, engineering, or facility management is beneficial but not mandatory.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; prior volunteering or internship experience is an advantage.
