2nd shift Hospital Phlebotomist w/Specimen Processing-Fairhope

About the Role

Labcorp is seeking a Hospital Phlebotomist to join our team at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, AL.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm and rotating Saturdays

Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare and process all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program OR 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency (in lieu of work experience).
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience (Preferred).
• 1 year or more of medical lab processing experience (Preferred).
