QA Tester

About the Role

Wizcoder AI Labs is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated QA Tester with 6 months to 1 year of experience in software testing. The role involves working closely with developers, project managers, and the product team to identify issues, validate functionality, and ensure web applications and software products meet quality standards before release.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual & Automation testing of web applications and SaaS software products.
• Understand project requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, and UI testing.
• Identify, document, report, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps.
• Verify bug fixes and perform retesting after developers resolve issues.
• Maintain test cases, test data, and testing documentation.
• Test forms, buttons, workflows, APIs, and user journeys.
• Perform cross-browser and responsive testing on different devices and screen sizes.
• Collaborate with developers and project managers to resolve issues.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and testing discussions.
• Ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of software before deployment.
• Use AI tools where appropriate to improve testing productivity and documentation.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• 6 months to 1 year of practical experience in software testing.
• Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Knowledge of manual testing concepts and testing methodologies.
• Ability to write and execute test cases and test scenarios.
• Experience in bug tracking and defect reporting.
• Familiarity with functional, regression, smoke, and UI testing.
• Basic knowledge of web applications, browsers, and client-server concepts.
• Good analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn new testing tools and technologies.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Basic knowledge of API testing using Postman.
• Familiarity with Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar project management tools.
• Basic understanding of SQL and database validation.
• Exposure to browser developer tools.
• Awareness of automation testing tools such as Selenium or Playwright.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience testing responsive websites or mobile applications.
